Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery may be performed for cosmetic and or functional concerns. Blepharoplasty involves the removal of excess skin, fat, and muscle from the upper eyelids, addressing issues such as drooping eyelids, puffiness, and obstructed vision. This procedure can enhance the natural contours of the eyes, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance. Blepharoplasty can also improve vision obstructed by overhanging eyelid skin, providing both aesthetic and functional benefits.

Is blepharoplasty covered by health insurance?

Medicare and health insurance cover blepharoplasty when considered medically necessary and specific criteria are met, typically in cases of obstructed vision. Following your consultation, Dr Langbart will assess and discuss your eligibility for coverage under Medicare or your health insurance plan.
